Mayra Zambrano was awarded her first residency as a student artist by The Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco, CA. Three teaching artists and three student artist were awarded this residency.The exhibition features installations from three different cities in the United States; Philadelphia, Seattle/Tacoma, and Los Angeles.

Mayra Zambrano collaborated with Leticia Maldonado, her teaching artist, in their installation. Their installation Care for the Creature, 2024. encourages our community to care for the environment. To find ways of changing our lifestyles to help our environment, practice “leave no trace” in nature, and to have hope that we are capable of change for a better future.
